Matt Hanrahan
Chief Executive Officer

Karen Gallagher
Head of Commercial Operations
Karen has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, having spent over 25 years in a range of management roles including Health Information Management, Quality, and Commercial Management. Karen also held the positions of Chief Executive Officer of Lingard Private Hospital, Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Healthe Care and most recently Executive Manager for Northern NSW, New Zealand, Health Information and Quality. She is particularly passionate about Commercial and Strategic Management, Quality Program Development, and Corporate and Clinical Governance, and has overseen many service developments and building projects within healthcare facilities. Karen has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Human Resource Management) and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration.

Matt Kelly
Head of Regional Operations - North
Matt is the Regional Operations Manager responsible for Healthe Care's hospitals on the Mid North Coast, Hunter, Newcastle, Central Coast and Central West regions of New South Wales. He is passionate about person-centred care and the use of Values to drive organisational culture. A qualified Nurse, Matt has spent his career working in hospitals in Newcastle, the UK, and across Sydney in both nursing and management positions. Instrumental in several key healthcare developments totalling over $120 million, Matt was the first Australian to be invited to speak at the world's leading Patient Experience Summit in Cleveland, Ohio, and was named the NSW Business Leader of the Year in 2019.

George Diakos
Head of Human Resources
George joined Healthe Care as the Head of Human Resources in 2021. Having completed a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) and a Masters of Strategic Human Resources Management from the University of Wollongong, he has spent significant periods in both HR and Operational Leadership roles across the Retail, Disability Services and Healthcare sectors. George is passionate about building strong organisational culture and capability, while working with leadership teams to develop and embed best practice approaches to people operations. His combination of commercial acumen and a person-centred approach, ensure the successful delivery of strategic organisational outcomes, with people at their core.

Peter Lotz
Chief Information Officer
Peter joined Healthe Care as Chief Information Officer in 2021. Peter’s primary focus is to establish a new IT footprint for Healthe Care, including separating shared systems from Aurora Health. Peter has spent the last 5 years in the health sector occupying numerous executive roles at Peninsula Health. Prior to that, Peter occupied the position of Chief Information Officer and Divisional General Manager at the Spotless Group up to the end of January 2016, having joined the company in December 2012 with an initial mandate to consolidate, improve and drive the key IT projects of the company. Peter looks forward to establishing a contemporary and fit-for-purpose IT footprint for Healthe Care within the next 24 months.

Bernie Lyons
Head of Risk and Compliance

Rav Carothers
Head of Health Fund Relations
Rav joined Healthe Care in 2021 having held senior roles in hospital and provider contracting for a number of health insurers including HBF and Medibank. An experienced negotiator and relationship manager, he has a passion for working with hospitals to develop new models of care that work for patients, hospitals and funders.
Prior to working in private healthcare he worked in roles across Governance, Policy Development, Procurement and Risk Management in a variety of sectors such as IT, Superannuation and Government. Rav has a Bachelor of Laws and is a non-practicing Barrister (England and Wales).

Haydn Murray
Head of Marketing and Communications
Haydn joined Healthe Care in 2017, having previously worked as a Marketing and Communications executive across the private, not for profit and education sectors. He is passionate about implementing innovative, people-friendly marketing programs, that put the needs of patients and staff first. Haydn has a Masters of Business (Marketing Management), Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Physical Education, and is currently completing a post graduate Bachelor of Health and Human Services (Leadership) Professional Honours.
